'A Morning Roast'

First brought to life on stage at The Palms in Wonder Valley, this fan favorite sketch has now been immortalized on Super 8 film! Created and performed by playwright Vic Terry and her partner Michael Simpson, 'A Morning Roast' was inspired by some of the incredibly ridiculous (and incredibly real!) coffee commercials of the 1950s. In classic Good Vibe Cinema style,

'A Morning Roast' pushes this concept to it's extreme, bringing the laughs while asking audiences to reflect on one of life's truly important questions... "how do you take your coffee?"

'Funky, Funny, Festive, and Fabulous: a
Holiday Variety Show'

'Funky, Funny, Festive, and Fabulous: a Holiday Variety Show' premiered at the iconic Palms Restaurant in Wonder Valley, CA in 2023. With sketch comedy, drag performances, live music, and some truly spectacular singing - we couldn't think of a better way to both send up and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. It was also a fantastic opportunity to showcase the work of our entire team, and to expand our network by collaborating with all of the fabulous folks at our new favorite venue! Stay tuned for next year's rendition in San Diego!

STARRING... DaNell Russell, Erick Escalante, Manny Velazquez, Riley Lekos, Grey Hill, Verdell Smith, Michael Simpson, Vic Terry, Cassidy Bartolomei, Kevin Bone, Chriti Waldron, Beautox Rocks, and Chrix Zzyzx

'FRANKIE'

'FRANKIE' is a black and white Super 8 film co-created by

Vic Terry and Cassidy Bartolomei and produced by Good Vibe Cinema and Noble House Media. As the film explores themes of authenticity versus performance, losing oneself versus loving oneself, and the conflict of separating art from artist, 'FRANKIE' forces us to break out of the structured black and white and sit in the uncomfortable grey. 'FRANKIE' stars Cassidy Bartolomei in its titular role, and features the artistic contributions of all of Good Vibe Cinema's core team - including Director of Photography Michael Simpson, composer Verdell Smith, and makeup and creature design brought to life by DaNell Russell. 'FRANKIE' premiered at Cinema Under the Stars on 10/31/23 and is available for viewing online at FRANKIEONFILM.COM.

LIGHTS UP ON TWO ETHEREAL BEINGS IN A METAPHYSICAL SPACE

a mattress in the middle of the desert… heaven or hell, depending on who you’re sharing it with. This darkly sensual, hilariously heartbreaking, twisted new comedy thrusts two restless spirits into the afterlife – THE GHOST, a man who lived and died by his reputation, who on the surface did everything right, but had a darkness brewing underneath... and THE GHOUL, a young woman whose absurd glamour reeks of tragic desperation, a little girl who always felt small and in death found a chance to become larger than life. As they discuss love, loss, identity, and regret – and coping with the fact that neither one of them have ever really felt alive – these two deeply complicated people reach their breaking point, as they both come to realize things aren’t what they seem.  Voted 'Best Ensemble Show' at the 2023 Tucson Fringe Festival and awarded special recognition as a 'Stand Out Show' at Hi-Desert Fringe, this exciting new one act play stars Michael Simpson as THE GHOST, playwright Vic Terry as THE GHOUL, and features a live original score by Verdell Smith of Soul Ablaze.

'BIG FEET'

When America’s sweetheart Bigfoot finds himself in a scandal that shows the world that “Bigfoot ain’t that big,” the legendary cryptid looses everything… including his sense of self! Created for Straight 8 in 2022 and shot on a Yashica Super 800 Electro from 1974 (with only one roll of film and exclusively in camera editing), this film follows the iconic character as he heals through nature and finds himself by going back to his roots. This Good Vibe Cinema production was written by Executive Producer Vic Terry, shot by Michael Simpson, features an original score by Verdell Smith of Soul Ablaze, and stars 'Vibe Talkin' co-host Manny Velazquez as ‘BIGFOOT.’

VIBE TALKIN

a podcast about films with off the charts vibes, films from the golden age of adult cinema

The Vibe Talkin podcast was born after Vic Terry (executive producer of Good Vibe Cinema / dirty movie aficionado) invited her neighbor Manny Velazquez (host of the podcast Sequelitis) over to watch one of the most iconic movies of all time  - Deep Throat. Right away it was clear to them both that there was a lot to be said about the film, the genre, and the moment in time that made space for this type of entertainment - a moment in time where audiences were actively seeking connection and vulnerability, and artists were coming together to create something exciting and new by pushing the limits of what a film could really be. For Vic Terry, a woman who's work is constantly exploring the fine line between person and performer, these films epitomize this overlap - they're scripted and theatrical while simultaneously intimate and completely, totally raw. On their show, Vic and Manny talked about what made these films so special and so powerful, and the ways in which they're still surprisingly relevant after all this time.

'COMING SOON: A FAKE
TRAILER SHOT ON REAL FILM'

When no one's down to get down at the hottest club in town, Special Agent Rocko DiSimone (you might remember him from TV!) and expert vibeologist Sandy Somerset (star of late night cinema) are on the case! They'll bring the good vibes and the good times to a story so action packed (and packed with action) that it could only be seen on the big screen. Created for Straight 8 in 2021 and shot on a Yashica Super 800 Electro from 1974 (with only one roll of film and exclusively in camera editing) this trailer for a fictional 70s porno is a love letter to the golden age of adult cinema.

'Pre-Production'

After the untimely death of their mother, Natasha and Coo spend a weekend with their estranged father at the family's cabin. This reunion becomes even more complicated by the presence of their husbands - Jerry (Natasha's former college professor) and Benson (a retired gay porn star). This one act comedy by Vic Terry pushes audiences to rethink their ideas on relationships, artistic integrity, and what it really means to 'make it' in entertainment. While 'Pre-Production' predates the founding of Good Vibe Cinema by a few years, this site specific play staged in 2017 gets an honorable mention - as its themes, aesthetics, and complicated character dynamics laid the foundation for executive producer Vic Terry's current + ongoing creative work.
